Course Overview:

The Cisco NetAcademy NDG Linux I course offers an in-depth introduction to the Linux operating system. Students learn to use the command line, manage files and directories, configure permissions, and create basic scripts. The course also covers security concepts, user and group administration, and software installation. Ideal for beginners, it prepares participants for system administration roles and future Linux certifications.

Description:

It is designed for aspiring Linux system administrators focused on career advancement who want to enhance their professional skills and prepare for the Linux Professional Institute LPIC-1 certification. NDG Linux I provides hands-on activities and labs to deepen your knowledge. The expectation is to perform maintenance tasks on the command line, install and configure a computer running Linux, and configure basic networks using Linux virtual machines. No prior knowledge is required; however, the concepts in this course are covered at a more challenging pace than in NDG Linux Essentials. This is the first course in a two-course series, with NDG Linux II.
